Climeaction’s Climate Action as a Service (CAaaS™) program embeds our engineers directly within client operations to accelerate decarbonization and efficiency improvement. Instead of one‑off audits or reports, CAaaS™ delivers continuous, measurable progress through hands‑on engineering, structured program management, and verified energy and carbon savings.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a CAaaS™ Engineer to work full‑time on‑site within a leading Aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility. You will play a key role in identifying, implementing, and sustaining opportunities to reduce energy use, cut emissions, and improve operational efficiency. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact engineering role for someone who wants to see tangible results from their work.
What You’ll Do
* Lead delivery of the CAaaS™ program on‑site, managing energy and carbon reduction activities day to day.
* Analyse utilities and process systems (compressed air, HVAC, heat recovery, lighting, etc.) to uncover efficiency opportunities.
* Develop and maintain the site’s Energy & Carbon Action Plan and monitor key performance indicators.
* Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to implement and verify improvement projects.
* Prepare concise technical proposals and savings calculations to support investment decisions.
* Collaborate weekly with Climeaction’s wider technical team for technical review, mentoring, and program alignment.
* Contribute to knowledge sharing across the broader CAaaS™ network.
What You’ll Bring
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Energy Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial, utilities, or MRO environments.
* Strong understanding of energy systems and performance improvement.
* Confidence working independently on‑site while engaging effectively with cross‑functional teams.
* Excellent data analysis and problem‑solving skills.
* Curiosity, initiative, and a commitment to delivering measurable outcomes.
Desirable
* Experience in the aviation or aerospace sector.
* Familiarity with ISO 50001, metering platforms, or energy analytics tools.
* Exposure to lean or continuous improvement practices.
