Role Summary We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager for the South of Ireland to spearhead growth, develop key client relationships, and build on our client's market-leading position.
The role is a critical, field-based opportunity, ideal for a self-starter with a deep network in the construction and engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities Establish, manage, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers in construction and engineering.
Identify and secure new business through market research, networking, and lead generation.
Develop and execute business development plans and expand the sales pipeline, ensuring direct alignment with supply chain and production teams.
Maintain up-to-date company CRM and ERP systems with client activity.
Leverage in-depth knowledge of products and service offering to maximize opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Monitor industry trends and competitors, providing actionable intelligence to senior leadership.
Prepare monthly business development reports for the CEO and management team.
Support company-wide initiatives and take on additional projects as needed.
Requirements Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar business development role within construction or engineering.
Demonstrable success in meeting/exceeding targets and driving revenue growth, with new business focus.
Strong established network in the construction and/or engineering sectors across the South & West of Ireland.
Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business or related field (preferred).
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, plus experience with ERP/CRM systems.
Full clean driving license, with flexibility for regular travel.
