Cloud Resource Analyst – Uisce Éireann Irish Water
Position is available in Dublin or Cork.
Role Overview
The Cloud Resource Analyst reports to the Cloud Team Lead and is responsible for supporting day‑to‑day operational IT Cloud Operations, Infrastructure and Cloud Services for Uisce Éireann.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of IT Cloud Infrastructure and related Cloud Services.
* Schedule IT Cloud infrastructure and operations workloads, defining, documenting, and communicating clear roles and responsibilities to internal and external parties.
* Support management of outsourced Cloud contracts and relationships with suppliers, ensuring service providers meet SLAs documented in the contract.
* Manage service continuity and oversee vendor solution back‑ups, maintaining and rehearsing plans to support business continuity.
* Manage relationships with external IT hardware and software vendors supporting IT Cloud Infrastructure and Services.
* Schedule Cloud Infrastructure workloads primarily across BAU operations, and support project delivery and transition to BAU operations.
* Support the corporate IT Technical and Security standards pertaining to Cloud Infrastructure and Services.
* Prepare and maintain required Cloud Infrastructure support documentation, reflecting fast‑paced infrastructure changes.
* Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business, including Cyber Security, Service Management, OT IT and Build & Delivery.
* Promote and deliver health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and meeting industry standards.
* Operate in accordance with Uisce Éireann’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, in line with the NIS Directive and other cybersecurity regulations.
* Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation‑wide objectives.
Qualifications
* Microsoft Azure certification highly desirable.
* Experience in Office 365, VMware, AD and Exchange highly desirable.
* Relevant third‑level qualification or accreditation desirable.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in water, utilities or similar industries desirable.
* Experience with change management, documenting change and developing SOPs.
* Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders internally and externally.
* Proven track record of handling complex issues proactively and communicating solutions clearly.
* Highly motivated, working to the highest professional standards and delivering results within a team.
* Strong analytical skills, identifying and analysing problems, proposing and implementing improvements.
* Adaptable, able to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements.
* Proactively identifies new areas of improvement and applies newly gained knowledge and skills on the job.
