The Regional Sales Manager-Pharma/BioPharma is expected to lead sales efforts within a specified region by developing solutions for our clientele within the Pharma/BioPharma industry. Responsibilities include educating potential customers on our products and services, understanding client needs, proposing solutions, and using available resources to meet client and company expectations. The role requires internal teamwork, communication, follow-up, and data tracking.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
* Building a sales funnel, closing business, and achieving quotas
* Developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with clients
* Formulating strategies to help clients manufacture their products using our offerings
* Communicating regularly with clients about strategies and new products/services
* Utilizing internal resources to ensure client satisfaction across departments
* Expediting resolutions for complaints or issues
* Preparing and delivering client presentations
* Reporting to management regularly
* Providing customer feedback and proposing product/service enhancements
* Identifying and initiating relationships with potential new clients
* Attending tradeshows and promotional events
* Traveling within the region as required
* Updating Salesforce database consistently and accurately
* Maintaining professionalism and ethical standards
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, or Biotechnology preferred
* At least 3 years’ relevant Pharma/BioPharma sales experience with proven achievements
* Ability to develop new business with existing and new customers
* Willingness to travel 50% of the time
* Proficiency in presentation software and report writing
* Strong presentation and communication skills
Work Environment:
The work environment is typically moderate noise. Employees will use office equipment and may interact with the public. Occasional exposure to mechanical and chemical environments may occur. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.
