AVP Fund Accounting Manager

The Role
As
AVP Fund Accounting Manager,
you will play a key leadership role, managing client relationships and overseeing a team responsible for delivering timely and accurate fund accounting services. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage client relationships and act as the main point of contact for key stakeholders.
* Oversee a team of fund accountants to ensure accurate and timely NAV production within a well-controlled environment.
* Lead, coach, and develop team members, supporting their career growth and performance.
* Resolve complex fund accounting queries escalated by team members.
* Review and approve daily and monthly NAV calculations and reconciliations.
* Ensure timely resolution of aged cash and position reconciliation items.
* Review performance allocations, management and incentive fee calculations.
* Drive continuous improvements in fund accounting workflows and procedures.
* Manage the year-end audit process, including the preparation and review of financial statements.
* Support client onboarding and transition activities.
* Evaluate the accounting implications of new products or fund structures.
About You
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 7 years' experience in fund accounting, with strong exposure to hedge funds.
* Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
* Strong understanding of NAV calculation, reconciliations, fund structures, and performance fee methodologies.
Skills & Competencies:
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English).
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and control.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-motivated with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
* Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
