We are currently recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join our team. Ideally you will have experience in practice, possess expertise in using case management systems, and be able to multitask and provide administrative and secretarial support to legal executives and lawyers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Producing legal documentation such as court papers, contracts and wills.
* Accompanying solicitors to police cells or the courtroom.
* Answering all telephone calls.
* Maintaining petty cash records while being in charge of costs.
* Making appointments for your employer.
* General administration work.
* Scheduling court depositions, hearings, and other meetings.
* Accurately filing documents with the court ahead of deadlines.
* Transcribing and proofreading legal documents.
Essential Qualifications:
* 1+ years' experience as a paralegal or legal secretary.
* Familiarity with legal documents and terminology.
* Working knowledge of litigation management software systems.
* Ability to type at least 50 wpm with high accuracy.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
* Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
