 
        
        Financial Accountant – Hostelworld Group
**Location:** Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. The role is based in Ireland and we offer a hybrid model with an office hub in Dublin.

Who You’ll Work With
The Financial Control team is a dynamic, high-performing group responsible for day‑to‑day finance operations, financial reporting, control and compliance across the group. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and lead the integration of a newly acquired entity.
What You’ll Do
 * Own the financial management of one or more legal entities, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
 * Lead the month‑end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
 * Act as the main point of contact with the third‑party service provider, managing the transition and ensuring service delivery.
 * Design and implement financial controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
 * Prepare statutory accounts and coordinate audit activities, acting as a key contact for external auditors.
 * Collaborate with FP&A, tax and other cross‑functional teams to align financial data and support budgeting processes.
 * Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and enhance reporting and control activities.
 * Support the preparation of board packs, investor reports and other management reporting.
 * Participate in ad‑hoc projects such as systems upgrades, new entity setup and finance transformation initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
 * ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA with 1‑2 years of post‑qualification experience.
 * Self‑starter with high attention to detail and a can‑do attitude.
 * Ability to work under pressure and navigate uncertainty.
 * Strong communication and interpersonal skills for senior management interaction.
 * Growth mindset and appetite for continuous learning.
 * Interest in the travel / tech space.
