About the HR Communication and Events Trainee Role
This position is based at the EIB Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. The European Union's bank seeks to recruit a trainee for its Human Resources Directorate (HR) – DG Office & Strategy Division (COORD) – Communication and Events Unit (CEU). The traineeship lasts 5 months, starting 1 September/October 2026, with a possible extension of up to 6 months.
Responsibilities
Support core communication activities, including writing and publishing internal news stories on HR topics and keeping the intranet up‑to‑date.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and develop content for internal communications.
Create internal, engaging videos to support communication materials.
Support the organization of internal events, such as townhall meetings or celebratory events.
Provide fresh input and brainstorm new communication ideas to improve employee communications on HR matters.
Provide general team support, archiving, and other project‑management tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
Final year of studies or University degree in Communication, Human Resources Management, Marketing, or any related subject.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience in editing content and/or event organization is considered an advantage.
Experience with design programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) or video creation programs is an advantage.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
