Horizon Controls Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Engineer specializing in DeltaV to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the pharmaceutical sector and over 3 years of experience.
Role Description:
• Reporting to the Digital MMD Project Lead, specifically responsible for DeltaV Systems.
• This candidate will be required to work closely with the Digital MMD teams responsible for the full Automation and IT scope and with vendors/partners with responsibility for delivery of DeltaV DCS.
Role Functions:
1. Review and approve related design documentation.
2. Partner with local site project teams to scope changes on the DeltaV system.
3. Follow the SDLC procedure to implement changes (covering RS updates, RTM change control, implementation, and testing).
4. Provide day-to-day support and administration for the site DeltaV systems.
5. Assist in maintaining the DeltaV systems, including servers, operating systems, security tools, and applications. Engineering scope, design, and support for automation hardware and software upgrade projects, and the implementation of new technologies.
6. Educate local project teams on automation standards as they relate to technology selection, system configuration, SDLC, validation, hardware, software environments, and business processes.
7. Partner with internal Digital departments ensuring standard and secure implementation in line with company standards.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Required:
1. BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree.
2. Training completed in DeltaV standard and batch.
3. 3+ years of experience in DeltaV application.
4. Proven record of proficiencies associated with business analysis on small-sized projects.
5. Excellent understanding of cGMPs, SDLC methodologies, and LEAN/MPS/Sigma principles.
6. Excellent facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Demonstrated ability to analyze and define business problems, develop business cases, and identify appropriate process and technological solutions are essential.
8. Experience in the commissioning of DeltaV site at a GMP manufacturing site.
