Poised on the edge of Galway Bay where land meets sea, The Hawthorn by Galway Bay is positioned to be Ireland's newest 5-star hotel, a destination designed by nature and refined for you, nestled along the Wild Atlantic Way. Surrounded by native hawthorn trees and beside an 18-hole championship golf course, the hotel features 114 suites and rooms, an experiential spa, wellness spaces, destination dining at The Skylark, and panoramic views of the Atlantic coast.

Opening in early 2026, this is a unique chance to craft and deliver the revenue strategy of one of Ireland's most anticipated new luxury properties.

About the Role

The Revenue Manager will lead all aspects of pricing, forecasting, and distribution for The Hawthorn by Galway Bay. As part of the pre-opening team, you will define processes, and strategies that maximise occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR while ensuring seamless integration across reservations, sales, and marketing. This role is ideal for a commercially astute professional with strong analytical ability, a passion for luxury hospitality, and a proven track record in revenue optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

* Maximise occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR through strategic pricing and channel management.
* Manage OTA platforms, direct booking platforms and channel manager.
* Implement and maintain rate loading and mapping across all systems
* Drive direct bookings, optimising channel mix and reducing commission exposure.
* Leverage RMS and tools such as Lighthouse, IDeas, and For-Sight to inform decisions.
* Produce accurate weekly forecasts and competitor analysis reports.
* Track actual vs. budget performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
* Lead revenue meetings and provide commercial insights to HOD and GM.
* Manage reservations team and all reservations processes and assist in bookings during peak periods.
* Ensure availability and rate integrity across all distribution channels.
* Partner with Marketing to plan digital campaigns, special offers, and packages.
* Analyse campaign ROI and booking behaviour, aligning with revenue objectives.
* Integrate upselling opportunities into the pre-stay and in-stay guest journey.
* Review online reputation metrics and feedback to support continuous improvement.

Ideal Profile

* 3–5 years of experience in a revenue management role within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment.
* Strong understanding of revenue concepts, occupancy strategies, and distribution.
* Proven experience managing OTA platforms, RMS, and PMS (Opera Cloud preferred).
* Analytical mindset with advanced reporting skills.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
* Pre-opening experience and knowledge of the Irish luxury market are distinct advantages.
