Job Summary
This role involves working as part of an overall Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team to develop, coordinate, improve and manage Industrial Hygiene (IH) programs on site. These programs may include hearing conservation, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, laser safety and ventilation.
Responsibilities
* Conducting IH risk assessments and employee exposure monitoring for physical and chemical hazards.
* Supporting IH surveys associated with the Equipment Sign Off program.
* Acting as a content expert in assigned IH programs.
* Supporting accident/incident investigation and root cause analysis.
* Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
* Analyzing data, identifying trends and defining focus areas.
Qualifications
* A minimum of a National Framework Qualification (NFQ) Level 8 qualification in a core EHS discipline or a science, chemical/process engineering-related third-level qualification with a postgraduate diploma or master's degree in EHS.
* Approximately 2 years of relevant work experience is advantageous.
* High proficiency in recognizing, evaluating, controlling and preventing occupational and environmental hazards.
* Strong oral and written communication skills to interact with customers on industrial hygiene matters.
* Ability to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision.
* Demonstrates efficient work methods, strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent presentation skills to explain industrial hygiene data to technical and non-technical audiences.
