The Role:
The Facilities & Fleet Functional area is responsible for obtaining and maintaining Uisce Éireann's headquarters and Regional offices, including activities such as: security, property management, spatial planning, capital projects and building management. The function has the responsibility of delivering a highly effective Facilities Management Service for Uisce Éireann, this involves reviewing and implementing solutions to meet the current and future property and maintenance needs of the business, safeguarding the security of all Uisce Éireann's facilities and locations and the management of the company's complex fleet.
The Facilities Operations team oversee and manage the provision of all Facilities Management Services for UÉ Premises nationally including Reception & Post Services, Spatial Planning, Cleaning, Waste, Energy, Catering, Stationary, Archiving, Employee Welfare and Building Maintenance.
They build strong relationships with BU managers with the aim of optimising cooperation and maximising efficiencies across UÉ, ensuring that regular meetings with Senior Managers are held to discuss their Facilities and Space requirements. The team drive the delivery of all operational activities planned, corrective, reactive and emergencies associated with the assigned properties, taking responsibility for their safe completion on time, within scope and within budget and manage the set-up and integration of new properties and assets from the Capital Projects team into Facilities Operations.
Reporting to the Facilities Services Technical Manager, the Facilities Services Technical Lead will be responsible for the supervision and management of technical equipment across Uisce Éireann's facilities. The Technical Services Specialist will also be responsible for managing the Analyst reporting to them.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
 * Support the Facilities Team on strategically important projects as part of UET (Uisce Éireann Transformation project) such as Offices, National Stores and Depots, Laboratories etc. as part of the transformation of the water services industry in Ireland over the coming years.
 * Develop and manage the long-term asset strategy relating to the Uisce Éireann property portfolio.
 * Manage Facility assets and plant performance and drive proactive continuous improvement of maintenance work practices and procedures through the CMMS system.
 * Responsible for the long-term technology strategy for Facilities department including space planning, CMMS / Maximo, Service Now, Sharepoint, etc. relating to the Uisce Éireann facilities department
 * Work closely with HSQE to develop and deliver safety programmes and safety action plans for Facilities. Co-ordinate, analyse and trend key HSQE performance reports for the department.
 * Ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements in respect of Health and safety, the environment, building and workplace regulations.
 * Work closely with the IMS (Integrated Management Systems) team to ensure Facilities use the Uisce Éireann Document control process. Responsible for supporting and guiding Facility document creators, reviewers and approvers.
 * Support the various programmes of ISO / Management System audits as required.
 * Manage and participate in business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency planning activities for Facilities as required.
 * Develop and support delivery of energy reduction and sustainability programmes and climate action plans for Facilities. Co-ordinate, analyse and trend key Sustainability performance reports for Facilities.
 * Work closely with the Sustainability team and be a focal point for sustainable considerations in Facilities in the areas of design, procurement, policy, etc. Liaise with relevant bodies such as SEAI and represent Facilities on forums and working groups as required.
 * Complete regular energy performance and benchmarking reviews
 * Development of papers, presentations and reports to senior management as required.
 * Manage and lead a team of internal and contractor resources to achieve the objectives above ensuring relevant people management and reporting is completed
 * The role requires flexibility to extend working hours and may require being a member of the on-call rota.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
 * Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business.
 * Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
 * Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
 * Provide visible leadership for your team, coaching and developing them to achieve their full potential and deliver business objectives, promoting collaboration and highlighting the behaviours that are expected from everyone in the team.
 * Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information, and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation.
 * Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
 * Engineering / Facilities or other relevant qualification desirable
 * Experience in Asset Management / Operations & Maintenance methodologies and working knowledge of ISO systems is seen as advantageous.
 * Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience
 * A minimum of 5 years' Experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable
 * Ability to develop and maintain effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally
 * Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate complex information to others
 * Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results
 * Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
 * Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements
 * Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job
 * Full clean driving license.
