Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Pharmaceutical Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts within the pharmaceutical sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing sales team, driving revenue growth, and establishing strong partnerships with pharmaceutical clients and healthcare institutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership & Development
Lead, train, and motivate a team of pharmaceutical sales representatives to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional client service.
* Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share, introduce new pharmaceutical products, and drive revenue across assigned territories.
* Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
* Market Analysis & Business Intelligence
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks, adapting sales plans as necessary.
* Performance Tracking & Reporting
Analyze sales metrics, generate detailed performance reports, and provide insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
* Regulatory Compliance
Ensure that all sales activities comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations, ethical standards, and internal policies.
* Product Knowledge & Training
Maintain expert-level knowledge of pharmaceutical products, usage, and benefits, and ensure the sales team is well-informed and continuously trained.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, and Compliance teams to align strategies and improve customer engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales with a minimum of 2–3 years in a managerial role
* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive performance
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
* In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical sales processes, products, and market dynamics
* Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a highly competitive environment
* Solid knowledge of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical sales practices
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable strategies
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
