We are seeking dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our residential care team, supporting children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. This role offers the chance to work as part of a committed and innovative team, providing care in line with HIQA regulations and standards.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be actively involved in the daily routines and activities of the service. Your role will include providing direct support to service users, assisting with personal care, supporting daily household tasks, and maintaining administrative duties.
This is a 24/7 residential service, so working hours are based on a shift system, including sleep-ins and waking night duties. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.
Essential Requirements
* Relevant QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification (or equivalent).
* Minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar environment supporting adults or children with intellectual and physical disabilities.
* Strong understanding of caring for people with complex needs.
* Full manual driver's licence (valid for driving in Ireland).
* Eligibility to live and work in Ireland.

* Support children/adults in line with their Integrated Care Plans, ensuring the highest standards of care.
* Encourage and support service users' individuality, independence, and family involvement.
* Act as an advocate for service users and their families, ensuring dignity, respect, and appropriate support.
* Facilitate social interaction both individually and in group settings.
* Safely use and maintain care equipment.
* Actively participate in team communication, including meetings and updates.
* Provide personal care as needed.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Be flexible and committed to working shifts.
