Reporting to the Group Lean manager and working with the Site Operations Manager, as part of the site management team, the main function of the role will be to develop strong working relationships with all levels of staff to sustain a continuous improvement Lean culture within the site. Site Lean Co-Ordinator This role will have responsibility for leading continuous improvement activity across the site. Managing all Lean and continuous improvement activities including reporting, financials, and training, this role will be a key member of the site management team. The role will look to drive a culture of improvement utilising the companys approach to Lean. Working with group and site managers, the role will plan, identify, and coordinate site and group Lean initiatives. The Lean coordinator will review Lean initiatives and projects with the site manager and Group Lean manager to develop an appropriate set of improvement initiatives to ensure the site meets business objectives on an ongoing basis. Main Responsibilities Lead site Lean activities under Rosderras Continuous Improvement Programmes. Drive a problem solving culture by demonstrating strong problem solving skills. Leading by example and with active participation to resolve issues with permanent corrective actions Maintain continual focus on existing Lean initiatives and operational performance. Constantly strive to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction and achieve growth and development via the on-going use of Lean principles and tools. Manage the review process for selecting, scoping and prioritising ongoing Lean initiatives. Provide leadership/guidance for site managers in regards to Lean solutions Use and practice Lean principles utilising Lean tools. Provide functional support on all elements of the Lean toolkit such as DMAIC, 5S, etc.. Train and coach colleagues in Lean principles. Plan and assist in the completion of various Lean Kaizen events targeted towards improving sites operational performance. Determine training requirements for staff arising from introduction/implementation of Lean principles/initiatives. Assist in the development of Total Productive Maintenance across the site. Conduct weekly GEMBA walks and issue action reports using the 4W framework. Develop and verify financial impact and returns of Lean projects and initiatives. Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the companys discretion. Desired Characteristics Degree level qualification 5 years work experience, with a proven record of work in the area of lean Strong planning and time management; the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a cross-functional and multi-site/ department environment Strong mathematical, analytical skills. Result and process orientated. Project management qualification / experience Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications (internal courses or formal) Strong analytical skills with ability to identify critical issues Strong propensity for excelling in a demanding environment Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal, influencing and coaching skills, ability to lead.
