Job Role Overview
As a Logistics and Purchasing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the procurement and supply chain management of our organization.
* Process purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of products at agreed-upon prices and discounts.
* Configure product details, including descriptions, dimensions, and weight.
* Collaborate with product coordinators and designers to meet product requirements.
* Coordinate shipping schedules and deliveries with suppliers.
* Work with shipping agents and forwarders to facilitate customs clearance and address any follow-up queries.
* Update shipping intake schedules as needed.
* Conduct cost valuation tasks.
* Respond to phone calls and perform ad-hoc tasks.
Requirements
* Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
* A strong 'can-do' attitude and ability to work independently.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and high-level customer service capabilities.
* Previous experience in shipments, imports, and exports is advantageous.
* Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel reporting.
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
