Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Field Service Engineer based in Dublin. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for performing on-site technical assistance, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and providing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functionality of equipment and systems. The role includes collaborating with clients to resolve technical concerns, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and maintaining accurate service documentation. Strong communication and hands-on technical skills are vital for day-to-day success.
About Your New Job
* Key Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites, providing hands-on support and expertise.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) according to schedules.
* Respond promptly and effectively to reactive maintenance needs.
* Identify and implement improvements to preventative maintenance programs.
* Maintain accurate service records and reports, both computerized and manual.
* Collaborate with service department personnel, suppliers, and customers.
* Report to the Service Coordinator for scheduling and operational requirements.
What Skills You Need
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance or service environment.
* Industrial experience is a plus.
* Basic electrical knowledge is beneficial.
* Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills with a hands-on approach.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting abilities.
* Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to travel to customer sites within Dublin and surrounding counties.
* Willingness to work flexible hours to meet reactive maintenance demands.
