Cpl Healthcare is delighted to partner with a major HSE University Hospital in the South West to recruit a Temporary Consultant in Emergency Medicine. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, well‑resourced Emergency Department within one of Ireland’s busiest acute hospitals.
The successful candidate will be required to lead a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced ED delivering critical, high‑quality, Consultant‑led emergency care, working within a collaborative clinical environment with strong support for innovation, quality improvements, and patient‑focused care. Participation in the Consultant on‑call rota, essential.
This is a 12 month contract with salary aligned with the HSE Consultants Public‑Only contract, with generous allowances and significant earning potential.
To be considered, applicants must:
Be registered in the Specialist Division for Emergency Medicine on the Medical Council Register (Ireland).
Demonstrate strong expertise and evidence‑based clinical decision‑making.
Have proven leadership, team management, and communication skills.
Show commitment to patient dignity, safety, and quality of care.
Possess strong organisational and planning skills.
Be Eligible to work in Ireland.
