About your new job as : Note this is a 12 month FTC.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new technologies and supporting existing ones to enhance production, quality, profitability, and safety.
You will take ownership of planning, scheduling, and executing projects, while ensuring progress is communicated in line with agreed timelines.
In addition, you will manage or assist with facility expansions and modifications.
Your duties as an Automation Technician: Support the development of new and existing technologies, as well as production lines, to improve quality, profitability, and safety Plan, execute, and document project assignments in line with agreed timelines, goals, and governance policies/procedures Ensure all technical and customer requirements for assigned projects are achieved Prepare, update, and maintain validation and project management documentation Participate in regular project reviews with project teams and management Produce design work such as layouts, sketches, and concepts for projects and/or plant layouts Review and/or develop engineering change requests for modifications to processes, equipment, and facilities Troubleshoot and repair automation systems as required Assess and maintain machine safety systems to protect employees operating automation equipment Monitor production data to ensure automation lines achieve targeted output and OEE Maintain product quality by ensuring proper operation and upkeep of all automation systems Provide prompt updates to shift leaders and program managers regarding downtime or maintenance issues Liaise daily with the Engineering Manager and shift support staff Adhere to all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and safety standards Perform additional duties as assigned by management Demonstrate consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance Work with automation systems such as assembly machines/fixtures, label applicators, robots, end-of-arm tooling, separators, test equipment, and any other equipment as assigned What skill/experience you need as an Automation Technician: Associates Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (required) At least 3 years experience in the medical device or other regulated industry (required) Minimum 3 years experience supporting technical project management (preferred) Background in medical devices or pharmaceuticals is an advantage Knowledge of quality system requirements, FDA Quality System Regulations, cGMP, and relevant ISO standards Whats on offer?
