Supermarket Store Manager – Drogheda, Louth
Excel Recruitment on behalf of our client a large supermarket store, is currently seeking an experienced, commercially focused Store Manager to lead one of their high-profile stores in Louth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven retail leader to step into a senior role within a well-established and respected business. The successful candidate will have full ownership of store performance, with the autonomy to drive standards, sales, and team engagement in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: €70k – €75k
Key Responsibilities of this Store Manager:
1. Lead, inspire, and develop a large management and colleague team to deliver exceptional customer service and consistently achieve business targets
2. Take full responsibility for all store operations, including stock control, merchandising, store presentation, and daily execution
3. Drive profitability through effective cost control, waste management, and sustained sales growth
4. Implement commercial and operational strategies to maximise sales and enhance the overall customer experience
5. Manage recruitment, training, and performance management, building a strong, engaged, and high-performing team
6. Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, company policies, and operational standards
7. Review sales data, KPIs, and reports to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver clear action plans
8. Create a positive, inclusive, and high-energy working environment that reflects company culture and values
Requirements of this Store Manager:
9. Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a senior retail leadership role, ideally within a supermarket or large-scale retail environment
10. Strong leadership and people-management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing large teams
11. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
12. A commercially focused, results-driven mindset with a strong understanding of retail operations
13. High attention to detail, with solid experience in stock control, cash handling, and merchandising standards
14. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while making confident, informed decisions
