HEAD OF SALES | ELECTRICAL & CONSTRUCTION WHOLESALER | DUBLIN
Due to continued growth within the Group, a leading Electrical and Construction wholesaler are seeking to appoint a Head of Sales to lead and grow the branch sales function across the Irish business. The role holder will report directly into the Chief Executive Officer.
The appointee will play an active part on the Senior Management Team and will be responsible for the management and growth of the branch sales channel, working in tandem with business development, finance, operations, procurement and marketing.
As an experienced Head of Sales, the appointee will manage budgeting, and execution across all markets and industry sectors, identifying opportunities for future growth.
Some key deliverables will involve and are not limited to:
* Own the development, implementation and execution of the branch sales plan to deliver on short and long term sales goals
* Establish short and long term sales goals for all regions
* Manage and lead branch sales force including ongoing evaluation of existing sales teams;
* Manage sales representative incentive programs to maximize sales results and service standards
* Develop and manage internal and external reporting for wholesale business to maximize performance and provide data and insights to internal divisions and stakeholders on the sales performance
* Work closely with purchasing & marketing functions to leverage feedback from buyers to identify growth opportunities for key items and categories
* Collaborate with the marketing team to establish key account seasonal sales and marketing plans to drive sales
Experience:
* 5 or more years in sales and sales leadership roles
* Understanding of the wholesale goods sector
* Demonstrated success driving results through wholesale sales management
* Team management experience
* Financial acumen and experience managing P+L
Personal Competencies:
* Proactive self-starter and able to work on her/his own initiative.
* Excellent influencing persuasion and negotiating skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
* Confidence in decision making and reporting on the performance of the region to the Companies Directors, shareholders, and senior management
