Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Contracts Manager:
* The Maintenance Contracts Manager reports to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager and performs their duties as described in the CAME.
* Is responsible for ensuring that line maintenance is contracted so a suitably approved maintenance organisation.
* Is responsible for ensuring that the aircraft, engine(s), propeller(s) and components thereof are taken to an appropriately approved Part 145 maintenance organisation whenever necessary.
* Is responsible for ordering maintenance, supervise activities, and coordinate related decisions to ensure that any maintenance and defect rectification is carried out properly and is appropriately released for the determination of aircraft airworthiness.
* Is responsible for Maintenance invoice review and approval.
* Responsible for conducting competence assessment of maintenance management staff within his/her department as required by CAMO.A.305.
* Is responsible for the activities of staff working under his/her control and the methods by which such staff interface with contracting organisations which provide line & base maintenance support.
* The administration and discipline of all staff under their control, including selection, training, recruitment and dismissal.
* Ensures that corrective action resulting from compliance monitoring in accordance with PART CAMO.A.200(a)(6) is carried out within prescribed timescales.
* Interfaces with the relevant contracting organisation in matters concerning scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
* Provides routine reports in respect of such activities for review by the CAM and, where appropriate, the Compliance Manager.
* Undertakes additional duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be requested by the CAM.
* The Maintenance Contracts Manager while maintaining responsibility may delegate some tasks to a Maintenance Check Representative.
* Is responsible for ensuring that maintenance errors that could result in a failure, malfunction, or defect endangering the safe operation of the aircraft if not performed correctly are reported in the safety reporting system.
* Maintain competence on the basis of continued education and training in their area of responsibility. The company will facilitate this process
