Job Title: Accounts Assistant
My client, a well-established company based outside of the city, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Code and key accounts payable and process timely payments.
2. Raise sales invoices ensuring all sales are captured.
3. Prepare VAT returns and assist with year-end accounts.
4. Investigate discrepancies with invoice totals and work within the company to balance all accounts.
5. Prepare monthly financial reports and related correspondence.
6. Manage Accounts Receivable and credit collections.
7. Conduct weekly bank reconciliations and analyze accounts and variances.
8. Contribute to and/or complete special projects as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
* 1-2 years of experience working as an Accounts Assistant.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a relevant Diploma preferred.
* Accounting Technician qualification is an advantage but not essential.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
