Associate Professor/ Professor – Clinical Neuropsychology – FEMALE ONLY
Join UNSW as an Associate Professor/Professor – Clinical Neuropsychology (FEMALE ONLY).
This senior academic position will lead research, teaching, and leadership in clinical neuropsychology within the School of Psychology, Sydney.
About the Role
Level D – $185 000–$204 000 per annum + 17 % superannuation, annual leave loading, full‑time (35 hrs week).
Level E – $237 000 per annum.
Reports to the Head of School; no direct reports.
Academic leadership in research, teaching and engagement within clinical neuropsychology.
Freedom to innovate in curriculum design and delivery, and to secure research funding.
Responsibilities (Level D)
Apply a well‑defined teaching philosophy and critically reflective practice to inspire student learning.
Provide leadership in reviewing, developing and delivering the Masters Clinical Neuropsychology (MCN) program and neuropsychology teaching across the Masters Clinical Psychology program.
Manage curriculum administration as Program/ Course authority for the MCN, ensuring academic quality assurance.
Design and develop learning activities, resources and assessment at course and program level.
Engage in peer review and best‑practice dissemination in education.
Conduct classes, assess student learning and support postgraduate & undergraduate students.
Collaborate to attract internal and external education funding.
Lead School and Faculty meetings; participate in committees.
Lead research: conduct original research, secure funding, publish nationally & internationally, and supervise HDRs.
Mentor students, HDRs and post‑doctoral fellows; ensure timely completion.
Lead knowledge‑exchange and commercialisation initiatives.
Adhere to Code of Conduct, university values, health & safety policies.
Responsibilities (Level E – additional)
Lead research of international significance and secure substantial competitive funding.
Maintain distinguished research groups and national/international collaborations.
Engage in community affairs and professional activities.
Mentor early‑career academics for external fellowships.
Champion commercialisation and major research partnerships.
About the Successful Applicant
Level D – Selection Criteria
Ph D in clinical neuropsychology or related discipline and relevant work experience.
Endorsement eligibility as a clinical neuropsychologist by AHPRA.
Proven commitment to continuous learning in the discipline.
Experience in teaching and learning design at undergraduate & postgraduate level.
Competence in educational technology and online delivery.
Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for excellence.
Experience with industry or work‑integrated learning.
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills; inclusive leadership.
Track record in research leadership with high‑impact, high‑quality outcomes.
Strong record in recruiting and supervising high‑calibre students.
Leadership in building engagement and partnerships with the profession and industry.
Understanding and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values.
Knowledge of health & safety responsibilities and training.
Level E – additional criteria
Ability to influence across disciplines and institutions.
Demonstrated inspirational role model for academic mentors.
Leadership in equity, diversity and inclusion policies.
Experience attracting significant industry funding.
