Design Build Search are working with a specialist contractor (Scaffolding and roofing) in Dublin who have an opening for a Managing Director. Due to ambitious growth plans throughout Ireland, they are looking for a Managing Director. The successful applicant will join a highly efficient organisation who look to continue scaling. Within your position you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and sales teams to ensure the delivery of performance, profitability and growth. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong decision-making abilities, a focus on operational excellence and the ability to foster strong client relationships.
Requirements
Proven experience in a senior leadership or general management role, preferably in the scaffolding and roofing space
Experience of managing large scale projects or framework agreements in an industrial setting
Strong technical knowledge instrumentation systems, projects, and operations
Proven ability to foster strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities
Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management
Experience in managing Profit & Loss, budgets, and financial performance
Knowledge of industry standards, HSE and quality compliance
Strong commercial and contracts acumen
Ability to adapt swiftly to changing requirements and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Implementing systems and processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintaining and enhancing operational metrics in line with the company’s Business Management System, ensuring consistent review and action where applicable.
Leading the preparation of bids and proposals for new contracts and projects.
Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders ensuring customer satisfaction and continued business.
Driving sales and marketing efforts to secure new business opportunities.
Ensuring the accurate identification and sourcing of long-lead materials and specialist contractors prior to contract award.
Driving compliance with the principles of effective pre-commencement, ensuring that customer requirements and objectives are identified and that projects are ready to make an effective start on site.
Ensuring successful execution of self-performance projects and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and support contract management processes.
Ensuring that contract reviews deliver high-quality, sufficient, and relevant management information.
Overseeing project planning, scheduling and resource allocation across all operational functions to meet project and business requirements.
Identify and mitigate operational and project-related risks, ensuring that proactive measures are in place to avoid disruptions.
Collaborating in the development of legal strategies for addressing project-related challenges and liaising with legal representatives when necessary.
