Orange Recruitmnent are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the full life cycle of construction projects, from initial planning to final handover. Based in Cork, you'll be leading a dedicated site team to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality, while exceeding client expectations. You'll be joining a dynamic organisation with a strong pipeline of upcoming work across multiple sectors, including pharmaceutical, life sciences, food & beverage, and commercial construction. Responsibilities: Lead and motivate the on-site construction team to achieve top performance throughout all stages of the project. Establish and maintain strong, productive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality policies at all times. Foster a proactive safety-first mindset across the project team. Develop and monitor the construction programme in collaboration with your team, aligning work sequences to meet key milestones and final deadlines. Implement robust short- and medium-term planning to identify and mitigate risks as the project progresses. Maintain high quality standards by ensuring work complies with all specifications and company procedures. Collaborate with the commercial team to manage project costs and maintain financial control. Oversee procurement processes and ensure timely placement of orders with subcontractors and suppliers. Drive continuous improvement and cost-efficiency through value engineering and product development efforts. Maintain open, clear communication with all parties, including design teams and regulatory bodies. Provide accurate and timely updates, forecasts, and reports to senior management and stakeholders. Lead regular site and contract review meetings to assess progress and ensure alignment with project objectives. Represent the company at client and consultant meetings, addressing any issues and reporting on progress as required. Requirements: A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years' experience managing significant commercial or industrial construction projects. Proven ability to deliver complex builds to a high standard, on time and within budget. Strong IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively. Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal, across all levels of a project. Commercially savvy with excellent negotiation skills. Up-to-date knowledge of current building regulations and compliance requirements. Proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and drive project success.
