Accounts AssistantA well-established business is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys day-to-day finance operations, cash management, and working closely with internal & external teams.Key responsibilitiesProcess supplier invoices and support weekly payment runsComplete daily/weekly bank reconciliations and support account maintenanceAssist with accounts receivable activities, including statements, allocations and follow-up on overdue balancesIssue invoices and related supporting documentationPost journals and maintain accurate ledgersSupport month-end close tasks, including balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with cashflow tracking and short-term forecastingProvide support during audit and year-end reporting processesBuild strong relationships with internal teams and external contactsSupport wider finance/admin duties as requiredAbout youPrevious experience in an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Technician / Finance Assistant roleAccounts Technician Qualification or similarStrong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations and month-end routinesGood attention to detail and organised approach to workloadComfortable working with finance systems and ExcelClear communicator with a practical, team-focused mindsetWhat's on offerBroad exposure across core finance functionsStable and supportive team environmentOpportunity to build on existing skills and grow in the role
