Barden are delighted to assist a successful Irish business based in Wicklow to help identify a Financial Accountant to join the team on a 1-year FTC.This person will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and insights to support decision-making, while leveraging systems and data tools to improve reporting efficiency, automate processes, and drive continuous improvement.ABOUT THE ROLEManage month-end financial activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and management reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing clear analysis and commentary on financial performance and key variances.Prepare and deliver financial and operational reports that provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making.Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to understand performance, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.Leverage data analytics and reporting tools, including Power BI and Power Query, to enhance reporting efficiency and generate actionable insights.Contribute to process improvement and transformation initiatives, developing relevant KPIs, strengthening controls, and supporting audit activities.ABOUT THE PERSONQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).2+ years' experience in a medium-to-large commercial environment with strong analytical and financial systems expertise.Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Agresso (or similar accounting software), with experience managing and analysing large datasets.Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, collaborate effectively across teams, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
