Senior Physiotherapist – CDNT
The Senior Physiotherapist will work as part of a dynamic interdisciplinaryChildren’s Disability Network Team (CDNT), providing high-quality physiotherapy services to children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs arising from disability. The post-holder will contribute specialist physiotherapy expertise, deliver evidence-based interventions, and support families in promoting participation, independence, and quality of life for children and young people within their natural environments. This role is based in South County Dublin and I will also consider a strong Staff.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Physiotherapist – CDNT
* Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children with a wide range of developmental and physical disabilities.
* Design, implement, and evaluate individualised physiotherapy treatment programmes, in collaboration with children, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
* Use a family-centred and goal-directed approach, empowering families as key partners in service delivery.
* Contribute to team-based planning for children with complex presentations.
* Support children and families in diverse settings, including clinics, homes, preschools, schools, and community environments.
* Provide training, education, and advice to parents, carers, educational staff, and other professionals.
Team & Professional Duties
* Act as a key member of the CDNT, working in partnership with other professionals (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology, Social Work).
* Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and service planning.
* Provide clinical supervision, support, and mentorship to basic grade physiotherapists, students, and support staff.
* Engage in service development, quality improvement initiatives, and implementation of best practice guidelines.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
Key requirements of Senior Physiotherapist – CDNT
* CORU registration as a Physiotherapist.
* Minimum3 years post-qualification experience, with at least2 years in paediatric disability, neurodevelopmental, or related field.
* Demonstrated experience in assessment and management of children with physical and developmental disabilities.
* Strong knowledge of family-centred and interdisciplinary models of care.
* Experience providing clinical supervision and/or mentoring.
