About The RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Engineer to support installation, compliance, and operational improvement projects across our asset base. This role works closely with project management, sales teams, contractors, and customers to ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and safe installation practices. The Technical Engineer will contribute to the design and implementation of installations, provide technical guidance, manage assets in the field, and support quality and safety initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to play a hands-on role in continuous improvement, technical development, and maintaining high operational standards across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to the project management team on key installation projects. Support the sales department, contractors, and customers with technical queries and compliance with relevant industry standards and codes of practice. Develop risk assessments and method statements for engineering and installation activities. Produce customer tank installation drawings. Manage company assets in the field, including LPG storage vessels, distribution networks, and associated equipment. Project manage compliance and upgrade projects related to field assets. Drive continuous improvement of installations through research and the introduction of new technologies or equipment. Manage contractors, including induction, approval, training, and performance assessment. Develop and maintain company operating procedures and technical documentation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and industry codes of practice. Create customer safety literature and technical guidance materials. Develop and deliver gas safety training to staff and contractors. Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate will hold a qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline and have experience in a technical, installation, or compliance-focused environment, preferably within energy, gas, utilities, or industrial sectors. They will demonstrate strong technical problem-solving ability, an understanding of risk assessments and industry standards. The successful applicant will be organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
