Job Description
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for actively participating in the tender/bid process from initial documentation through analysis and reporting. You will analyze tenders/bids to ensure client value for money, assisting in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling claims to ensure clients get best value from works undertaken. Additionally, you will create estimates and cost plans for key client developments, oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to your team.
Furthermore, you will support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication. You will also support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency. Finally, you will use business development skills to engage new clients as well as repeat projects with existing clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experienced cost managers on large-scale construction projects with increasing levels of leadership
* Chartered or on the path to complete it
* Savvy in understanding the business model and pursuing market opportunities
* A degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline
* Experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on varied projects
* An excellent communicator verbally and in writing
* The ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun
