Mechanical Maintenance Operative Leixlip, Co.
Kildare On behalf of our client, Lincoln are looking to recruit a Workshop Technician to support the Workshop Manager at a global manufacturing site in Leixlip.
This role joins a team of just one other person, therefore experience in power tools, hand tools, Lathes and milling machines is highly desirable.
Working hours: 8-5pm Monday to Friday €16 per hour plus attendance bonus Responsibilities: Support the assembly and fabrication of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery to manufacture parts and assemblies.
Measure, inspect, and verify component dimensions to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
Carry out routine maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
Conduct testing and inspections to identify defects or performance issues.
Operate mechanical equipment safely, ensuring correct setup and reliable operation.
Ensure machinery is correctly calibrated, maintained, and fit for purpose.
Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Use equipment in accordance with safety regulations and operating guidelines.
Assist with the control and organisation of tools, parts, and consumable inventory.
Maintain accurate records relating to parts usage, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure standards are met.
Ensure all work complies with specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.
Experience: An apprenticeship or vocational qualification and or relevant experience in mechanical engineering or a related field is advantageous.
Previous experience working in a mechanical workshop environment is advantageous.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery such as Lathes, Milling Machines, CNC Routers.
Experience with CNC machinery, welding, or specialized mechanical systems Experience with CAD/CAM is advantageous.
Knowledge of mechanical principles.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Team-oriented with good communication skills.
