Job Description
The company is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the development of electronic systems for medical devices. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across all stages of development, from design and testing to manufacturing and documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing electronics systems for medical devices, including architecture definition, requirements specification, prototype design, risk assessment, and manufacturing specification;
* Creating schematics and Bill of Materials, designing printed circuit boards (PCBs), and conducting EMC testing and troubleshooting;
* Interacting with and managing external contractors/suppliers and preparing compliance packages for product certification;
* Supporting product verification activities, including creation of verification plans, protocols, and test methods, as well as coordinating test execution and creating verification reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
* A minimum Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering;
* At least 5 years of experience in electronics engineering, preferably in a medical devices environment, with knowledge of medical device product development, certification, and manufacturing processes;
* Strong skills in Analog and Digital Electronics design, as well as experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting;
* Proficiency in OrCAD platform or similar tools for electronics design;
* Knowledge of IEC 60601-1 standard series, including IEC 60601-1-2 (EMC) and IEC 60601-1-11 (Home use devices);
* Experience with firmware development (C/C++ coding) and working knowledge of IEC 62304; and
* Excellent communication and project management skills, with experience working in Agile manner.
