We are looking for dedicated, innovative, and driven talent to join our expanding team. About the Role: Cognizant (LSMG) is currently executing projects for large Biotech and Pharma clients in Ireland. We require a Senior Automation Engineer to join a project team in Cork, involved in commissioning and on-site support activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Generation of Functional specifications, Design and Test Specifications for Recipes, Phase Sequences, Equipment Modules, Control Modules, customized logic, and HMI Graphics based on customer User Requirement Specification (URS).
2. Configuration and testing of Recipes, Phases, Equipment Modules, Control Logic, and Interlock Schemes based on Design and Test Specifications.
3. Lead teams of Engineers, manage project resources, schedule tasks, interact with clients, coordinate with vendors, and liaise between front office and remote engineering teams.
4. Batch process upgrading on DeltaV platform for pharmaceutical clients.
5. Review design and test specifications with customers.
6. Lead teams for Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification (SAT) at client sites.
7. Participate in site commissioning activities.
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified automation engineer with over 3 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
* Expertise in S88 / Batch DeltaV systems.
* Strong understanding of all project lifecycle phases and tasks.
* Demonstrable project management skills (scope, cost, schedule management).
* Ability to liaise directly with clients on design issues.
* Proven track record of leading complete projects.
* Ability to work independently.
* Proficiency in spoken and written English.
* Thorough understanding of system installation and rebuilding processes.
Skills: DeltaV, PLC Programming, DCS Automation, PLC, SCADA, Pharma.
