The Senior OT Infrastructure Engineer is a key member of the AAMF Manufacturing Systems team, responsible for the design, reliability, cybersecurity and lifecycle management of GMP‑critical OT infrastructure. This includes DCS/PLC/SCADA systems, data historians, servers and networks that underpin drug product manufacturing.
Working at the interface of IT and Automation, the role ensures systems remain highly available, secure and compliant, while enabling digitalisation, analytics and AI initiatives aligned with Industry 4.0 and site strategy.
Accountabilities:
Own reliability, availability and performance of GMP‑critical OT systems and networks
Maintain OT systems in a validated, audit‑ready state (cGMP, GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity)
Plan and implement patching, upgrades, preventative maintenance and obsolescence strategies
Lead OT cybersecurity controls including network segmentation, vulnerability management and incident response
Govern change control, risk assessments, IQ/OQ/PQ support, and deviation investigations
Manage backups, disaster recovery, redundancy and restore testing
Drive OT upgrade projects from design through validation and cutover
Manage third‑party vendors and system integrators
Support AVEVA PI data ingestion, data quality and infrastructure readiness for analytics and AI solutions
Collaborate with Automation, Manufacturing, QA, Global Security and IT
Support training, standardisation and OT maturity across the manufacturing network
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in OT / industrial IT within GMP manufacturing environments
Hands‑on experience with DCS/PLC/SCADA systems (DeltaV strongly preferred)
Strong experience with AVEVA / OSIsoft PI and SQL Server in validated environments
Expertise in OT infrastructure (VMware/Hyper‑V, Windows Server, backups, endpoint hardening)
Industrial networking and protocols (VLANs, firewalls, OPC/OPC UA, Industrial Ethernet)
OT cybersecurity implementation and vulnerability management
Strong knowledge of cGMP, GAMP 5, change control and validation
Proven ability to lead complex OT projects and manage vendors
Excellent communication and technical leadership skills
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar
Experience with Siemens, Rockwell, BMS/HVAC, Kepware or AVEVA platforms
Scripting (PowerShell) and cloud/analytics integration exposure
OT/IT certifications (ISA/IEC 62443, GICSP, VMware, Microsoft)
