Job Description
Our client are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to work hands-on and to lead the design and development of an innovate new product. This role blends conceptual design with practical implementation, requiring a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a proven ability to translate ideas into functional prototypes. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience translating designs from first principles into 3D models and prototypes, with a solid track record in New Product Development (NPD).
Key Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical design efforts from concept to prototype.
* Develop 3D models and detailed design specifications using SolidWorks.
* Apply sound engineering judgment to define hypotheses, design tests, evaluate data, and iterate effectively.
* Conduct tolerance analysis and produce high-quality drafting documentation.
* Collaborate with junior engineers and technicians to drive project success.
* Define mechanical tests, prepare set-ups, guide technicians during execution and interpret results.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial).
* 5 -10 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on New Product Development.
* Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in fluidics or infusion systems preferred.
* Ability to work independently and lead small teams.
* Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals and prototyping.
* Experience in test planning and analysis.
* Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
* Background in medical devices, ideally infusion systems.
* Familiarity with regulatory and testing standards.
