We are seeking an experienced
DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in OpenStack
on behalf of a client on a day-rate contract basis.
In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure within a high-availability environment, supporting large-scale systems and contributing to continuous improvement across our DevOps ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, deploy, and manage OpenStack cloud infrastructure.
* Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using industry-standard tools.
* Implement CI/CD pipelines and support release processes.
* Troubleshoot complex issues across networking, storage, and compute layers.
* Optimise cloud performance, security, and reliability.
* Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven hands-on experience working with
OpenStack
in production environments.
* Strong knowledge of
Linux administration
, virtualization, and cloud networking.
* Experience with automation tools such as
Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet
.
* Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
* Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).
* Containerisation experience (Docker, Kubernetes) a strong advantage.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
