Lead Safeguarding and Inclusion Specialist
About the Role:
This key leadership position will drive the strategic development and management of person-centered supports that promote active citizenship and inclusion, aligned with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) and the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 (ADMCA).
* Foster a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding practices, systems, and structures that empower individuals through partnership, advocacy, and a human rights-based approach to service delivery.
* Oversee the ongoing strategic development and management of person-centered supports that enhance active citizenship and inclusion.
* Implement a Rights-Based Approach in the provision of care and support services.
* Develop and implement policy, lead change initiatives, and manage teams effectively.
Requirements:
* Hold a minimum qualification of QQI Level 8 in a relevant field (Social Sciences, Nursing and Allied Health, Human Rights).
* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience of Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Children's First, and Trust in Care policies.
* Understand national policies, standards, and regulations impacting the Disability Sector.
* Show proven experience in implementing a Rights-Based Approach in care and support services.
* Possess senior-level experience in developing and implementing policy, leading change, and managing teams.
* Maintain a full driver's license and access to a vehicle.
