The role entails leading International Sourcing for several critical spend categories within Marketing & Sales and General Administrative functional areas.
This position requires collaborating closely with internal stakeholders worldwide and external organizations to assess opportunities, formulate category strategies, and implement innovative solutions for supplier selection.
The successful candidate will join the Strategic Sourcing procurement team based in GBS, Cork, Ireland and will have proven experience in indirect Procurement leadership / Category Management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop International Category Strategies: Develop, create, and execute International Category strategies for assigned spend areas.
* Share Category Expertise: Share category expertise with other members of the Strategic Sourcing team.
* Sourcing Ownership: Serve as the International Business Unit sourcing owner for designated categories within the IBU Procurement organization.
* Strategic Sourcing Processes: Apply strategic sourcing processes using project management skills and techniques to ensure timely project delivery.
* Supplier Relationship Management: Manage supplier relationships alongside business areas.
* Negotiations and Contract Development: Act as an escalation point for contractual and performance issues, lead negotiations, and develop contracts within the area of responsibility.
* Tendering Process: Oversee the sourcing/tendering process utilizing Ariba tools.
* Commercial Advice: Provide commercial advice to business areas as required.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues in Global Procurement.
* Approved Supplier Listings: Work with internal business partners to develop approved supplier strategies and listings for key responsibilities.
* Compliance: Promote and ensure compliance with procurement processes and Financial Responsibility Authorization Policy.
Essential Skills:
* Procurement Leadership Experience: Proven track record in Procurement leadership.
* Procurement/Category Management Experience: Experience in Procurement / Category management.
* International Procurement Experience: Preferred international Procurement experience.
* Critical Thinking and Evaluation: Ability to interpret and evaluate multiple sources of information to make informed recommendations.
* Communication and Relationship Building: Effective communication skills to develop strong relationships and lead cross-functionally at all levels, both internally and externally.
* Commercial Awareness: Commercially aware with a proactive, energetic, and can-do attitude.
* Project Management: Capability to lead multiple projects and internal customer groups.
* Negotiation and External Interaction: Skilled in external interactions and negotiations.

Education Requirements:
* Degree Level Education: Degree level education in Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, or any discipline with relevant experience.
* Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English. Additional language proficiency is advantageous.
* Procurement Qualifications: CIPS / IIPMM / ISM qualification and/or relevant Procurement experience.
* IT Literacy: Good IT literacy with the Microsoft Office suite & SAP/Ariba.
