 
        
        Our client, a prestigious global investment bank and a leader in Capital Markets and Banking, is expanding its European operations and seeking to hire a Vice President of Financial Reporting & Control. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of technical accounting expertise, exceptional organisational skills, and proven experience in collaborating across multiple business functions and international locations.
Responsibilities:
 * Deliver the internal monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements for European entities.
 * Ensure the European Finance team designs and maintains appropriate working papers to uphold the high standard of financial reporting required to comply with local financial reporting standards.
 * Conduct an annual review of procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy.
 * Establish and document new processes and procedures in a clear and consistent manner for areas impacting the European Finance team.
 * Ensure Head Office reporting requirements and governance obligations are met.
 * Collaborate with auditors to ensure the timely completion of audits for financial statements.
 * Provide expertise in incorporating new disclosure requirements as new businesses and products are booked within the local entities.
 * Assist, as required, in all aspects of statutory reporting for all UK and Irish entities, including reviewing draft financial statements to ensure the accuracy of figures and appropriateness of financial statement disclosures.
 * Deliver the required quarterly submissions for standalone entities to the Audit Committee and Board Meetings.
Requirements:
 * Qualified Accountant with 7+ years of experience.
 * Experienced finance professional with a background in financial reporting and control, preferably within a Financial Services organization or a similar industry.
 * Proven experience in preparing standalone entity financial statements, including incorporating changes in reporting standards.
 * Ability to support wider team deliverables and build strong, positive relationships with stakeholders.
