Role Overview
The Investment Banking Analyst plays a key role in supporting the execution of complex financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and strategic advisory projects. This position provides in-depth financial and market analysis to help clients achieve their corporate finance objectives. The Analyst works closely with senior bankers, clients, and cross-functional teams to develop financial models, prepare presentations, and deliver insights that support strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed financial analysis, valuation modeling, and company benchmarking using various methodologies such as DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analysis.
* Prepare pitch books, client presentations, and transaction-related documents that effectively communicate financial insights and strategic recommendations.
* Support the due diligence process by collecting, reviewing, and synthesizing financial and operational data.
* Monitor market trends, industry developments, and company news to identify potential opportunities and risks.
* Assist in drafting marketing materials, investment memoranda, and client proposals.
* Work closely with senior bankers and clients throughout transaction execution, including data management, documentation, and process coordination.
* Perform in-depth research on sectors, markets, and competitors to support business development initiatives.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial markets, valuation techniques, and corporate finance trends.
* Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all financial analyses and deliverables.
* Collaborate with team members across departments to streamline workflows and ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (CFA, CPA) are advantageous.
* 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or related analytical roles.
* Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and Excel-based analysis.
* Excellent understanding of financial statements, corporate valuation, and capital markets concepts.
* Proficiency with PowerPoint and data platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or Refinitiv is preferred.
* Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
