* Sonas Nursing Home Tullow, Shillelagh Road, Tullow, Co. Carlow, R93 R159
Successful candidates may be assigned to any of the above locations depending on service needs.
Minimum Annual Remuneration: €30,000
Weekly Hours: 39 hours/week
Job Description:
* Support and assist residents in fulfilling activities of daily living, enabling them to be as independent as possible.
* Deliver a high standard of person-centred care, ensuring all practices reflect the privacy, dignity, and respect of our residents.
* Establish and maintain relationships with residents based on respect and equality.
* Promote, encourage, and practice the ethos of person-centred care.
* Participate in organising and carrying out social outings and in-house activities.
* Maintain residents' dining rooms, living areas, and bedrooms in a neat, presentable, and hygienic state.
Education & Qualifications:
* Must have started or completed FETAC/QQI Major Award Level 5 in Healthcare or related field, or equivalent.
* Modules in Care of the Older Person, Infection Prevention & Control, Nutrition, and Palliative Care Support are desirable.
* Current and valid Infection Control, Manual & Resident Moving & Handling, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Certificates (training can be provided if required).
Essential Skills:
* Compassionate, reliable, and patient-centered
* Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Skills:
* Previous experience in healthcare or residential care settings
