Head of Business Development
Reports to the Chief Executive Officer and serves as a key member of the Senior Management Team. Holds executive responsibility for leading and advancing Enable Ireland’s national income generation strategy across commercial operations, fundraising, communications and marketing functions to support the delivery and expansion of services.
Responsibilities
Lead and advance the organization’s national income generation strategy, encompassing commercial operations, fundraising, communications and marketing functions.
Lead a multidisciplinary function across Head Office, regional locations and nationwide retail network, overseeing a team of approximately 130 personnel.
Identify and develop new commercial opportunities, strengthen strategic partnerships, drive income growth across multiple channels, and ensure alignment of brand and marketing with organizational objectives.
Engage regularly with the CEO and Board on performance, risk and strategic direction.
Qualifications
Accomplished senior leader with proven track record of delivering strategic growth and income generation within a complex organization, ideally within the not‑for‑profit, public or related sectors.
Strong commercial acumen, with experience in developing and executing income generation strategies, managing multi‑site operations, and leading high‑performing teams to achieve ambitious financial and organizational targets.
Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills, able to build and sustain effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including funders, corporate partners, donors and internal teams.
Relevant third‑level qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related discipline, or substantial relevant experience.
Demonstrable ability to lead organizational change, manage risk, and operate with sound judgment and integrity in a values‑driven environment.
