Quality Technician – Weekend Shift at Alcon.

We are looking for a Quality Technician to provide engineering support to our manufacturing area or project, identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives, and support our quality system.
Responsibilities
Provide quality oversight/input to the manufacturing area to ensure process and product quality requirements such as data integrity and product segregation are adhered to.
Identify and execute initiatives to improve process controls and overall effectiveness of the Quality System.
Lead and/or support process and product investigations using a formal structured approach to identify root causes, establish corrective actions and execute prevention plans.
Support the execution of validations within the assigned area.
Ensure ongoing compliance with Alcon's quality system and evolving regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, medical device, pharmaceutical).
Support preparation and participation in external audits by notified bodies and health authorities as necessary.
Qualifications
Certificate or diploma in a related discipline.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline.
Two years of technical/manufacturing experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge of FDA, medical device, GMP, and validation requirements.
Statistical analysis skills and proficiency with word processing software.
Problem-solving, technical writing, and people skills.

Additional Information
This role is initially a 7-month contract, based on a weekend shift schedule.
