Due to continued expansion of eir evo, we are now seeking to recruit an experienced Level 2 Support Deskside Engineer to become an integral part of our Managed Services Team. This role involves working on a dedicated team for a prestigious client, supporting an evolving multi-technology IT environment.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to technologies such as Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Citrix, Cloud (Azure), and the latest Microsoft applications & solutions.
**This role is based fully onsite 5 days a week with our customer in Dublin City Centre.**
The role would involve:
1. Resolving hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and other devices; provisioning accounts and equipment.
2. Providing desktop support for customers.
3. Supporting Windows Desktops, Outlook, Networks, MS Office, O365.
4. Maintaining and building current documentation.
5. Hardware troubleshooting & diagnostics.
6. Software installation and configuration.
7. Interacting with and managing third-party vendors.
8. Application troubleshooting and support.
9. Imaging and deployment.
10. Managing file permissions and access rights.
11. Configuration and support of mobile devices.
12. Providing remote and on-site user support.
13. Applying basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
14. Communicating effectively with users and management.
Experience
1. At least 3 years working in a deskside support environment.
2. Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, MS Office – Level 2 support.
3. Experience with Office 365 and virtualization is advantageous.
4. Customer service and call handling skills.
Preferred certifications and experience include:
1. Microsoft Specialist certification in Windows 10.
2. Microsoft MCP for Client or Server OS.
3. CompTIA A+.
4. CompTIA Net+.
Candidates will gain exposure to:
1. All Microsoft Operating Systems.
2. Windows Servers.
3. Virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Citrix, Hyper-V.
4. SMB Networking Environments.
5. Unified Communications.
6. Remote Access Solutions.
