Ave Maria nursing home is looking for a suitable candidate who has interest or experience in a residential care setting.
Shifts are rostered Monday-Sunday, 6 hours per shift (10:30-16:30) 5 shifts in a week, depending on the nursing home needs.
The purpose of this role is to develop and implement a stimulating person-centred activities program providing both group and individual activities that focus on the recreational and leisure needs of the residents and promotes the enjoyment and fulfilment needs of the individual. Planned activities have to take into account resident's needs, abilities and medical/ nursing requirements.

An ideal candidate would have:
* Previous experience working as an activity assistant or activity coordinator is an advantage but we will consider the other candidates if they show strong interest in this role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Creative and confident approach
* Good computer skills as part of the role includes updating documentation on computer system
* An intuitive knowledge of the interests and needs of older people
* Be comfortable working on their own and as part of the team
* A commitment to undertake further trainings as required
Candidates must be currently residing in Ireland in order to be considered
