The Maritime Hotel in Bantry is currently seeking a qualified and motivated
Leisure Centre Attendant
to join our team. This is a dynamic, customer-facing role that includes
lifeguarding, gym instruction, reception duties, and general leisure centre operations
.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about health and wellbeing, has a strong commitment to safety, and enjoys delivering excellent service in a team-oriented environment.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the leisure centre
* Supervise the pool area, ensuring the safety of all guests (lifeguarding duties)
* Greet members and guests, manage reception duties, and provide outstanding customer service
* Instruct clients on the safe and effective use of gym equipment
* Conduct fitness assessments and implement personalised fitness programmes
* Assist with cleaning, equipment checks, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment
What We're Looking For
* Level 1 Lifeguard Qualification (essential)
* Previous experience in a leisure or fitness role is preferred
* A strong communicator who enjoys working in a people-focused setting
* A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
* A strong commitment to excellent customer service and safety standards
