Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, Ireland's largest Civil Contractor have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team working on a large-scale civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NEC contracts and a strong background in civil engineering projects. This role will be based out of their head office in Sallins,
Role
* Oversee and manage all project costs to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
* Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
* Manage NEC contracts, including interpreting contract clauses, managing early warnings, and assessing compensation events.
* Analyse and assess variations, manage claims in compliance with NEC guidelines, and ensure timely resolution of any contract issues.
* Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
* Oversee procurement processes, negotiate with subcontractors, and manage subcontractor performance.
* Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
* Proven experience with NEC contracts is essential.
* Proficient in the use of COINS, Primavera P6, MS Project software and MS Office suite.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary
* €80K – €85K neg DOE
