Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer/ Occupational Health Physician on all clinical related matters and to the Head of HR Operations for all non-clinical related matters, you will provide an outstanding occupational support service to our employees. You will work both independently and with the wider team to provide support to employees throughout Ireland. Responsibilities The principal responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following: Providing a comprehensive Occupational Support advisory and consultation service to employees and to managers. Providing problem assessment and advice on issues that are impacting on employees performance. Undertaking referrals through a case-management approach, contributing to case conferences, taking appropriate supportive actions, and progressing issues to efficient outcomes. Refer employees to other support agencies as appropriate. Being a proactive member of the Occupational Health and Support team. Leading out on health promotions and wellbeing initiatives. Adhere to and deploy all OS policies/procedures in a timely and professional manner. Undertake period reviews/updates on all cases in workload and maintain all necessary reports. Ensuring your own Occupational Support knowledge is kept up-to-date and current. Always ensuring meticulous adherence to legal and GDPR requirements. Demonstrating An Post values and behaviours in your day-to-day work and addressing behaviour that supports/conflicts with them. Any other duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer. Knowledge, Experience and Skills The ideal candidate will by a self-starter, who displays initiative and efficiency in setting priorities and balancing the demands of the role, including taking ownership and accountability for the delivery of OS services and progressing workload in a timely and professional manner. You will be a leader who will take ownership in case-management and a great teammate, who develops and maintains relationships with employees, local management, HR and OHS teams. A balanced concern for the wellbeing of others, excellent listening and communication skills, an interest in developing relationships of trust and confidence, good judgement and an objective approach to dealing with employees problems are essential. A relevant qualification at degree or sufficient experience in a health/social care/EAP related subject area is required. Attendance Requirements Flexibility in times of attendance, willingness to travel, a current clean driving licence and use of a car are all essential requirements for this position.
