On the back of continued growth, they require two experienced Design Manager to join the teams in North Dublin.
About Your New Job
As Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the design process on large-scale commercial construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with internal project teams, external consultants, and subcontractors, you will ensure design solutions are fully coordinated, technically compliant, buildable, and aligned with programme and commercial objectives. You will play a key role in managing design risk, driving value engineering initiatives, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring all design information is issued in line with construction requirements. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, contractor-led environment.
What You'll need
Design Managers applying for this role will be expected to demonstrate the following:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related built-environment discipline.
* Proven experience in a Design Management role with a main contractor, ideally delivering large-scale commercial or mixed-use projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of building design, construction methodologies, and current industry standards and regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate the design process from pre-construction through delivery, ensuring designs are buildable, compliant, and commercially efficient.
* Experience leading and mentoring design coordinators or engineers, and managing external consultants including architects, structural, and MEP designers.
* Ability to coordinate design inputs across multiple disciplines and stakeholders, resolving design clashes and driving timely design solutions.
* Solid understanding of health, safety, environmental, and building control requirements as they relate to design development and construction delivery.
* Proficiency in design and project management tools such as AutoCAD, Revit/BIM platforms, and programme management software (e.g. MS Project).
* Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving.
